Smart Traffic Management
EdgeAI-ORN enables real-time traffic monitoring by connecting 2–4 PoE cameras over 2.5GbE ports, running object detection models such as YOLOv5 or YOLOv8 directly at the edge. It can detect vehicles, count flow, and identify violations like red-light running within milliseconds, while transmitting only inference results such as license plate numbers to backend systems. Its rugged, fanless design and wide operating temperature range ensure reliability in outdoor roadside deployments, while local inference eliminates latency and reduces costly bandwidth consumption.
Industrial Visual Inspection
On high-speed assembly lines, EdgeAI-ORN powers real-time defect detection by processing synchronized video feeds from MIPI or FPD-Link IV cameras. Custom CNN models trained on thousands of samples run locally to identify flaws with high accuracy. When defects are detected, GPIO output provides immediate signaling to remove faulty items without slowing production. EdgeAI-ORN enhances retail intelligence by analyzing customer behavior at the edge with USB3 cameras positioned at store entrances and aisles. Local face detection and feature extraction measure metrics like footfall, dwell time, and demographics without transmitting raw video, ensuring privacy by sending only summarized metadata to headquarters.
